For over eighty years, Al-suhaimi Holding Company has played an important role in the development of Saudi Arabia. The group has grown into a number of entities involved in a wide spectrum of activities, including trading, manufacturing, contracting, services and industry with the number of employees exceeding 3060. Established in 1921, Al-suhaimi Holding Company started as a small trading company with two branches one at Jubail in the eastern province of Saudi Arabia and one in the state of Bahrain. The company was first involved in foodstuffs and distribution of building materials. Within two decades, it had moved into real estate and several new lines of opening of King Abdul Aziz Port in Dammam, Alsuhaimi Holding Company moved their offices and activities to Dammam. These were gradually expanded into the tile and marble sector, paint, drilling, piling and other products and services. More accelerated growth began in the 1970s, with the onset of the oil boom during which the group established several new joint ventures, ranging from manufacturing to specialized design and contracting. The policy of diversification continues throughout the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s resulting in the involvement in a wide spectrum of fields. This policy is based on our belief in activities for which we feel there is a real need for the expansion of the economy. As a company whose foundations were forged in the lessons of the past and its advancement was guided by business foresight matched by a discerning managerial sense. The Alsuhaimi Group believes strongly in family members being the longest lasting elements as key staff for the future success of the company. One can see now, a third generation of the Suhaimi family making their way under the direct supervision of the second generation.
