Alamo Arms breaks the mould of a traditional Film and TV Armoury offering a unique system of weaponry that is safer, more cost effective and more ethical than the current Industry Standard. Cost is always a concern when commencing any production, here at Alamo we have developed a system of using modified replica imitation firearms (RIFS) that allows us to operate without the constraints of a licensable product. This means more weapons can be on set with fewer armourers in attendance, producing significant savings over the duration of a production. The nature of our weapons allows for rapid acquisition of new products if what you require is not already in our extensively stocked armoury. The constraints on numbers we can obtain are also not limited as with traditional firearms. We can offer Section 5 services along side any of our products to allow flexibility and obtain the required look on camera. Netflix, Warner HBO and the BBC have used this system many times already and is fast becoming the go to choice for productions. Safety is any armourer’s primary concern. The Alamo system has neutralised 99% of safety issues on set. Using our RIFS without an explosive charge allows our systems to function realistically without the danger of projectiles such as unburnt powder, brass shards and percussive pressure exiting the gun barrel. This grants actors the ability to get closer and more personal while at the same time camera the opportunity to be able to get shots difficult to achieve before safely without the added distraction of excessive PPE. The System can be modified to eject spent cases where necessary but predominantly have no case ejection and avoids any safety hazards of hot sharp brass objects flying around set, this stops the risk of any eye injuries to actors or crew.
