The Alba Bio Cooperative was born in 2002 from the common vision between some Sicilian farmers united to improve and meet the high-quality standards required by a primary national and European clientele. The crops and the operational headquarters are located in the South-East of Sicily, at Marina di Ragusa (RG), in a very favorable position from the pedoclimatic point of view for crops under organic farming. In 2016 the cooperative, as it grows, becomes an "Organization of Producers". Alba Bio today enjoys the renewed trust of its customers for the high production capacity it can offer them, while at the same time managing to maintain a constant high-quality level of the products. Over time, the cooperative has invested considerable resources both in technological and varietal innovations and in the packaging of the processes, allowing it to obtain increasingly growing sales results, promptly shared with individual members, allowing them to invest in their future and the quality of their work. An increase in volumes, quality, and innovation has not, however, distracted the O.P. Alba Bio from its initial purpose of respecting the environment and the natural integrity of its production. The current production offer includes fresh vegetables and fruit, and processed sauces and jams. Products guaranteed by the BIO 834/07, GLOBALGAP, GLOBALGAP GRASP, and BIO SUISSE, IFS certifications, free from GMOs. The future intentions of Alba Bio are to continue along the path undertaken so far with even greater commitment and dedication, further increasing the range proposed for vegetables and fruit thanks to the inclusion of new references and excellent quality organic varieties, certain to succeed in this way to further satisfy the demands and expectations of its customers and consumers.
