About Alban Teaching School Hub
The Alban Teaching School Hub is one of 87 newly designated school-led centres of excellence for teacher development. Teaching School Hubs are ambassadors for the world class delivery of new teacher development reforms in England. Our overall responsibility is to maximise opportunity and development to teachers at all stages of their development; this work is focused on the golden thread of teacher development from ITT to school leadership. The mission from the DfE is for Teaching School Hubs to lead evidence-based teacher development to empower teachers and school leaders and, most importantly, impact pupil outcomes. Our work is centred around these five pillars: Initial Teacher Training Early Career Framework National Professional Qualifications Appropriate Body Services CPD We have an established reputation as an outstanding ITT and teacher development provider and innovators of highly effective evidence-based CPD.
