About Albany Medical College OTR
The BACC has transitioned to the Office of Translational Research, Innovation, and Technology Transfer (OTR) at Albany Medical College. OTR is firmly committed to helping the region’s great minds transform their biomedical business ideas into truly viable, thriving, and visionary ventures. We are continuing the BACC’s mission by providing biomedical innovation advisory resources and clinical support through virtual business incubation for the community, while also focusing on accelerating internal support of enhanced pathways for Albany Medical College students, researchers, and faculty who have biomedical ideas with the potential for commercialization or licensing. OTR offers entrepreneurs a supportive environment where they can refine their technology, gain access to a variety of resources and facilities, and connect with the right people who can help grow their businesses. Working closely with partners throughout the Capital Region, OTR is also creating new learning opportunities for individuals and organizations through OTR-sponsored events such as the Clinical Immersion Program, Bioinnovation Bootcamp (formerly BACC Academy), and Innovation Seminars.
