ALDEA — (n.) village in Spanish; from Latin “al-dea” or “to goddess / mother earth”; from Arabic الضيعة (al-day’ah) for farm. ______ We believe it takes a village to flourish. Aldeas are nourishing living communities that are locally-rooted and mindfully curated for wellness, connection, and regeneration from soil to soul. Our philosophy is to meet our essential human needs without compromising the health of the planet, future generations and ourselves. Aldeas are home to five elements that represent human flourishing on Earth. Each element is designed sustainably to create an experience of beauty and simple abundance — bringing more nourishment and meaning to life. FARM | An organic permaculture farm operates at the heart of our community, providing the restaurant, healing center, and market with fresh produce, herbs, and botanicals. HABITAT | Residential homes, rental properties, glamping tents, and community gathering spaces built using sustainable materials that merge nature with design and respect future generations. STUDIO | A collaborative learning and talent-sharing center for community members of all ages, featuring a forest school, co-working facilities, and multi-purpose workshop spaces. MARKET | A locally-rooted market and restaurant centering the creativity of artisans in and around our community, stimulating the local economy and culture. SANCTUARY | A healing retreat center and holistic spa that uplifts the body’s intrinsic wisdom, the healing properties of local botanicals, and integrative treatments with experienced practitioners. ______ ALDEA Comporta is currently in development and is part of a developing global network of Aldeas that enables residents and guests to enjoy the same lifestyle in distinctive places around the world. Also under development: ALDEA Libertad (El Salvador). Aldeas are the flagship project of NOURI — a network for connecting people and nature in regenerative ways of living.
