About AldridgeUTC@MediaCityUK
UTC@MediaCityUK offers the most exciting digital and technical education for students from 14–18 across the region. We are based in the heart of MediaCityUK, in a brand new building close to the University of Salford’s MediaCityUK campus, The Lowry and the Imperial War Museum. An extraordinary place to learn, our state of the art building gives our students the chance to get a head start for a career developing creative and digital content – the images, words, video and software we all consume constantly through the internet, TV, radio and mobile devices. The UTC ensures that our students gain the qualifications and experience employers are looking for – not just broadcasters and media companies, but every business wanting to reach its customers in the digital age. They will all be drawing from a digital media sector that already accounts for one in every ten jobs in the North West. Combining core academic subjects with the opportunity to study and gain practical experience in TV & Film, Graphics & Design, or Interactive Media & Gaming, our curriculum ensures students will be learning skills for jobs at MediaCityUK and beyond.
