First and foremost ALEiGN is about creating a real-time feedback loop between those developing strategy and the folks in the trenches executing it. This means that within days you can get a sense of whether your strategy is right on the money, and more importantly, where you need to reconsider some of your assumptions. ALEiGN lets you achieve this by doing two things; making your strategy visible to everyone, and asking the people doing the work a few simple questions each time they finish a task. This captures information at the source, about morale, success and whether the work people are doing is actually contributing to the strategy. There is nothing complex about this - it will take you maybe an hour to reflect a given strategy (a business plan, or project plan, any sort of plan really) in ALEiGN, often a lot less. You will then start to create tasks in this strategic framework, invite your people to ALEiGN, assign work and as the work is completed, the feedback begins. What we have done is given you all the tools you should need to communicate and inform your people about your strategy and your expectations of their involvement...one of our guiding principles in designing ALEiGN is that once you are in, you should never have to go out to work with your people. That means we have chat and notifications built contextually to tasks and , we have kanban and list views - we even let you import and export your work and manage documents. And, finally, you can restrict who sees what work - while letting everyone know where they are contributing to the strategy.
