About Alfie's Squad

We support children, and their families, who have been bereaved by suicide. Our peer support groups specifically for children bereaved by suicide are the only ones in the UK. At Alfie’s Squad, we aim to reduce isolation and improve self worth in every child who accesses our services. Alfie’s Squad was founded by now 15 year old Alfie after he lost his dad at the age of 8. He wanted to find other children in his situation but we couldn’t find any peer support. Alfie decided to step up and sort it out himself. Our groups are all about having fun and making friends with people ‘who understand’. We also have peer support groups for parents/carers and a young adults group. Our group meets in Liverpool weekly, plus we have a weekly national online group. We hope to roll out across the UK over the course of the next 5 years.
