About Algona Area Chamber Of Commerce

Thank you to our 275 members and dozens of volunteers, with their help and our two full time staff members; Vicki Mallory, Executive Director and Di Lorenzen, Administrative Assistant the Algona Area Chamber of Commerce coordinates and sponsors many events and activities: Chamber Annual Event, Baconfest, Ice Fishing Derby, Women Networking Together, Giving Back Day, Chamber Golf Outing, Party In The Park, Founders’ Day (joint City/Chamber), Ridiculous Days, Leadership Algona, Taste of Algona, Band Day, Harvest Madness, Autumnfest Craft Show, Santa Claus Day, Live Greeting Card Windows, Holiday Show, Legislative Forums and retail promotions, including Chamber Bucks that added $529,000 to the local economy in 2017; and Chamber Ambassadors Weekly Coffee and Ribbon Cuttings. We are also on the Board of the AAEDC (Algona Area Economic Development Corp), this organization works to promote community and economic development for the city of Algona. Chamber Staff is also involved with Western Iowa Tourism, Iowa Chamber of Commerce Executives and Iowa Group Travel Association to enhance and promote the Algona area and our businesses.
