About Alimax

Alimax is the family office and investment fund of the Sabbe family. Alimax, founded by entrepreneur Ivan Sabbe in 1999, serves to facilitate various investments in Real Estate development, Private Equity, Renewable Energy and industrial activities in general. After the successful turnaround and sale of ISPC-Ocean Marée Group to Sligro, the family is in search of new opportunities to invest its smart capital in a sustainable business environment. On the M&A branch, Alimax wants to leverage its strong human capital and in-house expertise in industrial investment opportunities. We aim to solely put capital at work in business models, sectors and industries we truly believe in. By applying a close involvement in the diverse projects, Alimax aims to be an active fund driving the company to a new level with close interactions and guidance. The Smart in our name comprises the multiple decades of combined entrepreneurial experience of Alimax’ 5 professionals, mainly in the food market and specialised industry. Apart from active investments, Alimax also aims to diversify its financial portfolio with fund investments and other financial assets. Alimax Real Estate owns a historical portfolio in commercial and industrial real estate throughout Belgium. By maintaining very close contacts with a multitude of retailers, Alimax succeeds in offering a tailored, diverse portfolio of commercial properties to serve a wide range of retailer and production industries. Alimax aims to further diversify this portfolio, addressing the changes in retailer markets, as well as re-develop brownfields for a wide range of end purposes (industrial, residential, …).
