About Us Alius Trading Ltd is a polished diamond wholesaler based in Leeds servicing jewellers and private clients in the North of England. The company was set up by Nick Gould and long-time friend and colleague Simon Gilbert, a fellow diamond industry veteran with over 30 years’ experience, exclusively within the industry in October 2017. Alius Trading Ltd is a partner company of Alius Diamonds Ltd, one of the only polished diamond wholesaler based in Ireland. It is also a partner company of Alius Ltd, a diamond industry consulting company set up in London in 2010, that delivers bespoke professional services exclusively to the diamond industry. The business in Leeds was started in 2017 to give small to medium sized jewellers in the North of England a local and more personalised service. Nick has been in the diamond industry almost 30 years and has worked for De Beers as well as one of the world’s largest diamond manufacturers, based in India. He has worked for Alius since 2010. Simon had a long and successful career at De Beers where he worked all over the world, before leaving to work at places like the UN Security Council and consultancy businesses. We are also able to offer a complete bespoke jewellery service. We can make any design you desire at a price considerably lower than retail. We use fabulous bespoke jewellery manufacturers based in Dublin or London. Alius only sources diamonds from companies that are Responsible Jewellery Council certified, and who adhere to the strictest regulation regarding Conflict Free diamonds and Kimberley Process Certification. With our extensive network of contacts in the industry, we are capable of sourcing every diamond requirement, be it a 100 per carat, GIA Certificates, Fancy Intense Yellow or a 20ct DIF.
