About Alkimia Consults
Alkimia is a small consultancy based in Southern Africa, with a global reach. We focus on designing and developing human-centred change processes; workshops, interventions, toolkits and graphics to bring about a range of attitude and behaviour change in individuals and systems. We develop curricula, and train others to facilitate our workshops, both in-person and online. Our work is guided by a committed focus on human-rights, SRHR and gender. In this capacity we have designed processes for women, adolescent girls and young women, for adolescent boys and young men, LGBTQI+ people, Sex Workers, People Living with HIV, for People who Use Drugs and other key populations. In more recent years our work has shifted firmly towards our particular passion area of gender, race and identity. Alkimia’s “alchemy” or magic is to ensure that change is enduring in people, and the systems in which they live and work. Our courses and workshops are conducted in over 30 countries in Africa, South-East Asia and Europe but our passion lies in doing work across Africa.
