About All It Takes

All It Takes (AIT) equips youth and those who serve them with essential emotional intelligence tools to successfully navigate their lives and support their communities. We do this by offering interactive keynote addresses, experiential SEL development trainings (virtual and in-person) for educators, parents, and youth. AIT is your stop for innovative, evidence-informed, research-based trainings that are practical and applicable immediately in ALL situations where youth are influenced by an adult or humans in general engage with one another. It is a common assumption that we can simply 'tell' an adult what to do to help our youth through emotionally challenging situations. That we can give a worksheet to students and their SEL needs will be met. That SEL is somehow just going to happen because we touch on it once a week. AIT addresses SEL as it's own critical skill, one that when used as lived experience is impossible to ignore. We do not ask a teacher to teach calculus if they do not know calculus. The same goes for SEL skills. There has never been a more urgent time to embrace SEL as its own curricula. The emotional stressors of this uncertain time are expected to live LONG into the future and preparing our educators, parents, and students themselves to navigate it all in healthy ways is our responsibility. Join us in developing socially responsible, emotionally healthy, resilient and joyful children and adults who serve them. It must start with us!
