About Allegheny National Forest Visitors Bureau

Destination Marketing Organization for McKean County, Pennsylvania, and the Allegheny National Forest Region located in northwestern PA. Our mission is to promote travel into our region and to increase the length of stay while following the guidelines of GeoTourism as defined by National Geographic. We assist both small & large local businesses assisting in marketing and promotion of their business or attraction to attract travelers. As the ANF Visitors Bureau our two largest single attractions are the Kinzua Sky Walk and the Allegheny National Forest. Trail Central is our brand as we focus on outdoor recreation for all seasons, with a primary defining attraction the number and variety of our trail systems. The Knox & Kane Rail Trail was recently selected as the "2023 Pennsylvania Trail of the Year," and the Kinzua Bridge State Park was voted the #1 favorite state park in Pennsylvania by TripAdvisor in 2023. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Allegheny National Forest with many special activities planned including the ANF Centennial 100 Mile Hiking Challenge, the ANF Centennial GeoTrail, and the Centennial Celebration on Sept. 24, 2023 at Twin Lakes.
