About Allegheny Reproductive Health Center
ARHC provides a wide range of reproductive health services, offering specialized obstetric (OB) and gynecological (GYN) care, in-office and in-hospital surgical procedures, services specialized to the LGBTQIA+ community, fertility care, and abortion services. We provide full spectrum gynecologic care, including routine exams such as pap smears, testing for sexually transmitted infections, contraception provision, and LGBTQIA+ care. We also provide support services for our clients including counsellors, care coordinators, and doula care. Our mission is to provide high quality, low cost comprehensive reproductive health services to all individuals who seek care in a safe, respectful, empathetic, nonjudgmental manner. Our unique approach to reproductive health care embodies a patient-centered care model, including joint decision-making and supporting bodily autonomy, based on mutual understanding, cultural awareness, and information sharing. With this approach, we aim to create an intersectional space for our patients and staff that centers voices of marginalized people, particularly those who identify as Black, Indigenous, or Person of Color (BIPOC) and/or LGBTQIA+, and reduces barriers to healthcare access for them. We are a social enterprise, with 100% of profits going to support patient services and access. We are a diverse team of healthcare professionals, striving to reduce health inequities, protect reproductive health rights, and support well being for all of our patients. ARHC has provided reproductive health care since 1975. We are licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and the CLIA, and our physicians are board certified and hold unrestricted MD licenses in the state of Pennsylvania. ARHC is accredited by the National Abortion Federation (NAF) and the Abortion Care Network (ACN).
