About Alliance for Trust in Media
In this chaotic, fragmented, disinformation-sodden information environment, audiences don't know what news to believe. And professional journalists don't know how to win back their trust. The Alliance for Trust in Media aims to help both. Our researchers talk to audiences to find out what they really mean when they say they don't trust the media, and they document practical tactics newsrooms can take to win back those audiences. The goal is to develop an evidence-based body of practice journalists can use nationwide. At the same time, our teachers give audiences tools to recognize high-integrity news—and to avoid crap. We deliver the teachings through the workplace, serving employers who understand that media literacy is just as important for employee productivity as financial literacy or wellness.
