About Alliance française d'Arabie saoudite
Founded in 2010, Alliance Française d’Arabie Saoudite is the official French language institute and Cultural center in Saudi Arabia. Its goal is to promote and facilitate French language learning and to build bridges between Francophone and Saudi cultures. AFAS is part of the global Alliances Françaises network, counting more than 800 branches around the world, a more than 130 years old Institution, widely recognized and acclaimed for the quality of its teaching services and cultural events. AFAS has four branches across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, two in Riyadh, one each in Jeddah and in Al Khobar. AFAS also operates in the cities of Yanbu and Mecca in partnership with the local chambers of commerce, and in the city of Al-Ula in partnership with the Royal Commission for Al-Ula. Widely recognized for the quality of its educational programs, AFAS offers French courses for adults and children, private or corporate courses, conversation workshops, as well as translation workshops (Arabic-French) and Arabic courses. AFAS caters for all needs and can develop custom made programs on request. As the only authorised examination center for DELF-DALF and TCF diplomas in the Kingdom, AFAS organizes regular exam sessions allowing our students and external candidates to certify their French level and assert their language skills in order for them to successfully pursue their academic or professional projects. AFAS, in partnership with the French Embassy and other Saudi-based institutions, offers a diverse and exciting cultural program throughout the year. Last but not least, AFAS gives a wide access to French resources on-line or on our premises. Tailor-made workshops are scheduled to give easier access to these resources to all. AFAS team members will be delighted to welcome you in our branches.
