About Alliance Française de Jacksonville

The Alliance Française's mission in the United States is to encourage and develop knowledge of the French language and French and Francophone cultures, and to foster cultural, intellectual and artistic exchanges between the USA and France and the French-speaking countries. Each Alliance Française is governed locally and is operated as an independent, non-profit, non-political, non-discriminatory organization. The Alliance Française de Jacksonville (AFJax) was founded in 1962 and serves those interested in French language and francophone culture from Amelia Island to St. Augustine. We are the premier provider of French language teaching and cultural events on the First Coast. The Alliance Française de Jacksonville (AFJax) is a federal tax-exempt organization under Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 501 (c) (3). As such, donors can deduct contributions to The Alliance Française de Jacksonville under IRC Section 170. Ajax is also qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under Sections 2055, 2106, or 2522.
