Founded by Joris and Natalie van Almenkerk, our estate harmoniously blends Belgian heritage with the vibrant terroir of South Africa's coolest wine region, just 14 km from the Atlantic Ocean. With meticulous vineyard management and regenerative farming at our core, Almenkerk cultivates standout Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Merlot. Our modern cellar, inspired by traditional Flemish architecture, combines contemporary winemaking techniques with classical methods, resulting in wines that are fresh, nuanced, and distinctively Elgin. We also offer contract winemaking (custom crush) services and create private label wines, collaborating closely with our clients to produce wines tailored to their specific needs. Additionally, our cellar produces premium-quality craft cider, available for private labelling or as a branded collaboration. At Almenkerk, sustainability and regenerative farming are key principles.
