Mission: To reduce hunger and significantly improve nutrition and health outcomes for the elderly, disabled, and children in Hawaii. About Us: At Aloha Food Foundation, we are dedicated to alleviating hunger and promoting healthy eating among Hawaii’s most vulnerable populations. Our mission is to ensure that Kupuna (elders), disabled, and children have access to nutritious meals. Our Goals: 1. Reduce Hunger • Identify and Reach Vulnerable Populations: We conduct surveys and collaborate with local agencies to identify those in need, focusing on rural communities and individuals unable to drive. • Meal Packing and Distribution: We develop systems for collecting, preparing, and distributing meals to those who need them most, ensuring effective delivery and continuous improvement. • Secure Food Donations: We partner with supermarkets, farmers, restaurants, and other organizations to secure a steady supply of food donations, reducing waste and advocating for supportive policies. 2. Improve Nutrition • Utilize Certified Kitchens: We partner with certified kitchens to prepare nutritious meals, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. 3. Sustain the Mission through Volunteer Community Participation • Volunteer Network: We recruit, train, and engage volunteers to support various aspects of our mission, from meal preparation to delivery. • Innovation and Collaboration: We engage with stakeholders to gather ideas, implement innovative strategies, and collaborate with other charities to share resources and best practices.
