About our Company: Alpha Scents is a customer-focused entrepreneurial company specializing in the development, manufacturing and marketing of innovative high quality insect monitoring and control products designed to meet the ever-changing needs of our customers. Alpha Scents researches, registers, manufactures and markets pheromone-based products for insect monitoring and control. Our products are designed to significantly reduce the use of pesticides. Our Story: In 2007 Dr. Darek Czokajlo founded Alpha Scents, Inc. in West Linn, Oregon. The company was designed to develop, manufacture and market high quality insect pheromone lures, traps and pest management products. Alpha Scents products help reduce pesticide use and expense by providing tools to help monitor and manage destructive pest populations with minimal environmental impact. To accomplish this, Alpha Scents seeks to build strong relationships with its customers that go well beyond the sale of products. Founder and President, Dr. Czokajlo earned his masters degree in forestry at the Agricultural University of Warsaw in 1987, and a doctoral degree in the field of insect chemical ecology and forest entomology at the State University of New York, College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse, New York in 1998. For the past decade, Dr. Czokajlo has designed new controlled release devices and traps at IPM Technologies, Advanced Pheromone Technologies, Forests Alive and APTIV. He spearheaded the development of “Attract & Kill” technologies for insect monitoring and management in forestry, agriculture, and the public health sector. Dr. Czokajlo has also headed numerous research projects developing new products that are now commercially available.
