Alta Fermentation is the first independent Latin American artisan beverage accelerator, which supports the development of small businesses with high potential for craft beverages and provides them with the tools to grow faster, more profitably and more effectively. Alta Fermentation was born in 2019 and operates as a private investment fund. It was founded by Berny Silberwasser (founder of Bogotá Beer Company, La Rana Dorada and Veza Sur USA) and Fernando Mur (director and partner for more than 20 years of the largest global brewery). Berny and Fernando discovered that there was an unmet need in the market, there were small entrepreneurs in the beverage business with a lot of potential in different Latin American countries, who didn´t manage to have the capital, the know-how or the appropriate business model. So Berny and Fernando decided to found Alta Fermentation in order to help these entrepreneurs on their growth path. Through the combination of capital contributions, a proven business model, clear management processes, coaching, training and access to a network of experts, Alta Fermentation works shoulder to shoulder alongside its partners in each endeavor. The Fund is 100% invested in companies with high potential for generating value.
