About Altis Architecture
Altis - A historical term meaning ‘sanctuary or enclosure’. In search of that spirit, Altis Architecture seeks to raise building forms and spaces ‘above the conventional, to a higher level of sophistication and experience’. In doing this, human involvement is enhanced through exciting spaces and innovative form. Established in 1991 by directors Rolfe Latimer and Andrew O’Connell, the Altis team includes leading design talent and skill within both the Architecture and Interior Design teams. These each work together in collaboration to produce unique, functional and integrated design. Altis Architecture is a progressive and dynamic practice with a strong commitment to achieving design excellence and financially successful projects. Altis boasts extensive experience in Hospitality, Retail, Residential, Aged Care, Hotels, Health and Fitness, Convention Centres, Theaters, Stadiums and Aquatic Centre projects and a significant portfolio of completed projects in these areas. We understand the detail, functional and operational requirements of such facilities and the financial imperatives which drive successful businesses and developments. We use this knowledge to ensure that the best, aesthetic, functional and financial outcomes possible are achieved for our clients. We fully integrate our architectural and interior design teams from the inception of the project. This collaborative approach to practice delivers high quality design outcomes.
