About Altruvest
For more than 25 years at Altruvest Charitable Services ("Altruvest"), we have matched and trained qualified leaders for critical board positions within local charities, helping them maximize their impact, making donations go farther. Local charities are essential to the well-being of our communities. 80% of charities are small or medium-sized and provide critical services to the population, often with very limited resources. We envision a world where the board of every charity or non-profit is empowered with talent, well-trained volunteers, giving them great capacity to achieve their missions. The Altruvest BoardMatch program builds capacity by introducing new volunteers from the corporate and public sector to charitable boards. We have matched and placed over 5,000 candidates to charitable boards and committees in Canada. For charities and nonprofit organizations - local charities looking for board or committee members have access to a range of talented volunteers willing to contribute their time and skills to help the charity be successful. For corporate partners - we partner with human resource and talent departments to help develop high-potential executives – as well as underrepresented groups throughout their organization – by pairing them with a charitable board. We also provide these leaders with board governance and leadership training needed to serve on boards. For donors and supporters - contributors and sponsors receive various opportunities nominate charities and candidates, while supporting Altruvest to make critical investments to support our sustainable income model. Altruvest also acts as a public advocate for good governance via thought-leadership and partnership development. In 2021, the Altruvest Board approved a bold plan to leverage new digital capabilities and more untapped leaders in our corporations, small business, and communities to reach global scale. Partner with us to bring Altruvest to your city, town, or village!
