With decades of experience in the aluminum industry, we focus on helping clients in Canada access quality aluminum products that suit their needs. We are pleased to collaborate with Alcomet AD, a leading Bulgarian manufacturer of flat-rolled and extruded aluminum products, with over 40 years of industry experience. Their state-of-the-art plant in Shumen, Bulgaria, integrates the entire downstream production cycle—billet and coil casting, extrusion, cold rolling, and the manufacturing of prefabricated components—all under one roof. The plant has a total capacity of 100,000 tons/year and features cutting-edge technology. ROLLING MILL Alcomet’s Rolling Plant includes a cold-rolling mill, foil-breakdown mill, and three foil mills. Advanced finishing lines for slitting, degreasing, cut-to-length, and embossing support a wide range of products across packaging, construction, automotive, and heat exchangers. BILLET CASTING Billets are cast using the Wagstaff Hot Top Billet Casting System—one of the most advanced technologies for “soft alloys” (1xxx and 6xxx series). Chemical composition meets international standards or client specs. Diameters: 4”, 6”, 7”, 8”. EXTRUSION MILL The Extrusion plant includes five presses (600–2500 tons) focused on soft alloys for architecture, construction, advertising, transport, and machine-building. A 25 MN HybrEx® press enables profiles with CCD up to 300 mm and wall thickness as low as 0.8 mm. FINISHING Alcomet offers in-house anodizing (silver, gold, bronze, black) with matte finishes and pretreatments like sandblasting or brushing. Powder coating includes a broad range of RAL or custom colors. FABRICATION PLANT With automated European-made equipment, Alcomet produces fabricated parts such as automotive chassis and electric battery module components. Capabilities: cutting, milling, punching, washing, passivation, deburring, assembly, and laser marking.
