Amar Finance and Leasing Company (“Amar”), registered with Central Bank of Kuwait, and listed in the Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE Ticker: AMAR, Bloomberg: Amar KK Equity), was established in 2004 as a Shari'a compliant real estate finance company with a capital of KD 20 million. Amar currently engages in a variety of financial activities, namely commercial real estate Islamic financing (through Murabaha and Ijara contracts), proprietary investments into multiple asset classes and corporate finance. Amar focuses on differentiating its position in the market place with respect to the services and products it offers. In real estate finance, Amar seeks transactions that require a certain level of structuring. Amar arranges financing for financial transactions – predominantly real estate - either directly or in the Islamic capital markets through issuing Shari 'a compliant financial instruments.
