Amar Healing & Recovery Center program provides varied support for people suffering from substance use disorder issues, from assessments using the ASAM Continuum criteria to outpatient with individualized treatment planning with periodic (30- day, 60-day) dynamic revisions, referrals for housing and other community services as necessary, to ongoing aftercare. Amar uses a multi-faceted approach which incorporates individual therapy, process groups, psycho educational groups, family groups, urine analysis, relapse prevention, grief and loss counseling, art therapy, self-regulation workshops, discharge planning starting in the first week of treatment, aftercare services, and continued care services. Our staff includes licensed Marriage and Family Therapists and interns (MFTs and AFTIs), Certified and Registered Alcohol and Drug Counselors and other professionals under the supervision of a Licensed Clinical Director. Many of our staff are in recovery themselves Therefore, they understand the complexities of addiction and serve as models of recovery. We include families in the counseling and treatment processes for our clients, to ensure that clients will have a strong support network after treatment. Our outpatient program meets multiple times per week; daytime and/or evening. Our sessions, including assessments, are in person and also via Zoom-for-Healthcare if needed. We also familiarize our clients with the main self-help groups available in the community such as: AA, NA, LifeRing, Rational Recovery, Al-Anon, CODA, ACA, etc.
