About Amara Therapeia

I started Amara Therapeia to create a space for therapy that is emotionally present, intellectually honest, and grounded in depth. I work with adults and couples, often in their 20s to 40s, who are wrestling with: -Anxious attachment and relationship disconnection -Religious trauma, purity culture, and spiritual deconstruction -LGBTQ+ identity within the context of faith, family, or partnership -Betrayal trauma that happens inside ongoing relationships -Intensity, burnout, and the deep need to make sense of it all My approach is energetic and attuned. I bring a lot of presence, strong reactions, and honest conversation into the room. I’m not afraid to challenge you when it’s needed, and I’m just as invested in sitting with your pain as I am in helping you move through it. You won’t get generic advice or a therapy script here. I work best with people who feel deeply, think critically, and are trying to show up differently in their relationships and in the world. Clients come to me when they’re tired of just coping. They want clarity, change, and a space where they don’t have to explain the whole backstory of their culture, queerness, or beliefs. Amara Therapeia is for the ones who’ve tried hard for a long time.
