About AMASHA

Amasha has been trading since 2009 as a relatively small company running consultancy services to specialist export companies in the recycling sector. In 2017 Amasha started to trade waste-paper to a number of European Paper mills in Germany and Denmark. The business has grown steadily and Amasha now exports material to customers in India and South East Asia. We trade a range of middle and high grades from direct pulp substitutes such as virgin tissue waste to high strength kraft grades. In 2018 Amasha started a plastic collections and recycling business servicing the farming sector in Scotland. We have two JV partners who both bring key assets to the business and we now have a site outside Edinburgh where we can process material and service the supplier base on the east coast. On the back of this business using the core capabilities it offers we also trade post industrial grades of waste plastic from all over Scotland. Diversification is key to remaining viable in such volatile economic climates, so we are now looking to add metals trading to the portfolio of secondary materials we trade. Consultancy remains an important part of Amasha’s offering to the market. We work with a number of partner business throughout the sector helping them comply with legislation and advise on market trends.
