About Amathea Studio
In 2002 Sophie took her skills and passion for working with colors, fabrics and designs and started her own Interior Design and Event Company, Amathea. She caters to both residential as well as commercial projects. Years of contact and association as a fashion executive with a number of the most celebrated names in the fashion industry has led Sophie to develop a refined taste her Parisian “flair” mixes with her 25 years in NYC and her world travels enable her to create a unique, eclectic esthetic that she combines with her client’s individual tastes to create interiors that they truly enjoy or an event to remember. After graduating from New York University’s Stern School of Business in 1985, Sophie decided to stay in New York and join the family business. She spearheaded the launch of its “Miss Maud” line into the US and then assumed the position of Marketing and Merchandising Director of Maud Frizon Americas, where she oversaw the entire wholesale and retail operations. At that time operations included press relations and runway projects. Sophie Harrison was born and raised in Paris. She is the daughter of the world renowned fashion designer and entrepreneur Maud Frizon.
