About Ambos Community Trust Fal

Ambos is a Community Land Trust focused on securing land and buildings for our neighbourhood’s wellbeing. We are passionate place-shapers, champions of collective ownership and advocates of exemplary design that fosters a deep sense of belonging. Ambos Community Trust Fal Ltd, is the Community Land Trust set-up and legally bound to secure, develop and hold strategic assets for community benefit in perpetuity. We rely on local land owners, local authority and social enterprises to sell or lease land to the Ambos Community Trust to help us provide benefits to the local area. The benefit to the neighbourhood is identified though local neighbourhood development plans (NDP) and genuine community engagement. Assets are usually buildings and/or land, which members determine the best use, along with the wider community. Our membership consists of ‘crews’ who have a passion for affordable cohousing, community owned renewable energy and wellness space. Do you have an ideas for a piece of land or building? Membership is open to all, with voting right reserved for local residents. We also act as an Educational Trust, promoting cooperative design to accelerate enhancements in built environment that help neighbourhoods adapt to climate change and give agency to those who don’t normally feel they get a say as to what happens in their locality. Ambos Project Services Ltd., our service arm, is set up to help facilitate and support community groups seeking to develop strategic assets for community benefit. We offer a range of services to support organisations and individuals undertaking community-led initiatives.
