About Ameco Beijing
Aircraft Maintenance & Engineering Corporation (Ameco) was established on August 1st 1989. It was a joint venture between Air China Limited (60%) and Lufthansa German Airlines (40%). On June 1st 2015, by restructuring the shareholdings in Ameco, Air China and Lufthansa integrated the MRO resources in former Ameco and former Air China Technics (ACT) to establish new Aircraft Maintenance & Engineering Corporation (New Ameco) that is still a joint venture between Air China and Lufthansa, with Air China holding 75% and Lufthansa holding 25%. Headquartered in Beijing, New Ameco has set up four Business Units of Beijing Base, North of China Line Center, Chengdu Branch, Southwest Line Center, 17 Operation and Management Support Divisions, as well as line maintenance Branches in Chongqing, Hangzhou, Tianjin, Hohhot, Shanghai, Wuhan, Guiyang, Guangzhou and Wenzhou. New Ameco provides airlines with Fleets Total Care, as well as line maintenance, aircraft overhaul and painting, ARC overhaul, engine overhaul, APU overhaul, component overhaul, landing gear overhaul, business jet completion and maintenance, engineering and assets technology services, education and training services, calibration and testing services. New Ameco possesses maintenance licenses authorized by CAAC, FAA, EASA and almost 30 countries or regions, as well as a Designated Modification Design Organization Representative (DMDOR) authorized by CAAC. It has more than 160 maintenance stations at home and abroad, forming a large maintenance network worldwide. New Ameco’s hangars and maintenance facilities are mainly located in Beijing and Chengdu. In Beijing Capital International Airport, it operates two four-bay hangars, capable of accommodating respectively four Airbus A380 aircraft for maintenance at the same time and four Boeing 747 aircraft for overhaul simultaneously, together with a one-bay hangar for Boeing 747’s overhaul and painting.
