About AMENITY urban & natural environments Pty
We are small practice specialising in urban design, architecture, place making, social planning, education and property strategy. Sustainability is a core value which is central to and integrated into all our endeavours. A particular focus is managing design quality and design appropriateness, which we have identified as one of the prime ingredients for achieving liveable, resilient communities and vibrant places. Another key ingredient that we focus on for creating great, sustainable places, is the social and economic framework that supports the process from project conception to project delivery. We approach each commission from first principles, and work with our clients to determine the most appropriate and inclusive strategy for achieving the optimal achievable outcomes. We provide corporate and government clients with a variety of services, from identifying practical strategies for improving design, to expert evidence in the Land and Environment and Supreme Courts, to facilitating the development approval process for innovative projects ranging from single residences to new tertiary education campuses. Dr Philip Pollard - Director & Principal Consultant Philip has a passion for education and for the environment (built and natural). He is a registered architect and a Fellow of the AIA. He is also a member of three chapters of the Planning Institute of Australia: Urban Design; Social Planning; Urban & Regional planning.
