About Amer Fakhoury Foundation

On September 12th, 2019 Amer Fakhoury was illegally detained by the Hezbollah backed Lebanese government. He was tortured, abused, and forced to sign false documents. He obtained Epstein Barr Virus while imprisoned and due to the lack of treatment it progressed rapidly to stage 4b lymphoma cancer. The family financially struggled paying all the medical bills and legal work that came with this traumatic experience. They were under a tremendous amount of stress and received multiple threats on their life by members of the terrorist organization. When Amer was finally released on March 19th, 2020 he had only 5 months left to live. He passed away on August 17th, 2020. His family want to make sure his story continues to be heard and they want ensure this does not happen to any other innocent individual. If an innocent individual is illegally detained by a corrupted and radical regime, the Amer Fakhoury Foundation want to stand by the individual and their family both financially and emotionally. We want to educate the community on safety in foreign countries. We also would like to shed awareness on corrupted judicial systems in foreign countries that take advantage of innocent individuals in order to push a political agenda. We want to be the victim's voice and community. We hope you join our fight!
