Bariatric Science is an empirical science that embodies the research, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of obesities and its related biopsychosocial disorders. The goal of the Bariatric Science Certification Program is to provide specialized bariatric science education and training for already licensed/registered/certified health and education professionals from diverse disciplines. Finally the public has trusted health and education professionals that they can rely on and identify as credentialed specialists.
