Back in 1984, when double denim was first 'on trend', brothers Charles and David Barnett opened up the first American Carwash Company branch. It was in the railway arches of Kings Cross (where the Euro Star lines are now). One of the first 'drive-through' hand washes in the UK with some pretty famous names coming through the doors, Jeremy Clarkson was a regular to the branch with his Ford Escort Cosworth! Hand washing cars in a 'drive-through' format quickly took off and today's clients can experience The American Carwash Company across five central London sites. Up to half a million cars are cleaned by The American Carwash team members each year. Fleet owners will be pleased to hear that cars will be cleaned and on their way within 15minutes and that's our promise... how do we do it? We ensure that many hands make light work, each team member has a job and specific area of the car to asses and clean. Just like a manufacturing production line, the drive-through process in each branch has been optimised to get you a clean car in the fastest time possible.
