Our mission is to preserve and promote Tamil traditions, values and ways of life and our objectives are... To promote Tamil arts, literature, philosophy and other cultural and ethnic practices among the Tamil people. To assist and propagate cultural, educational, social, economic, and community affairs of the people of Tamil origin in the United States of America. To serve people and/or communities in need by supporting their medical emergencies and/or educational needs. To organize and/or take part in discussion forums, conferences, workshops and other such educational activities to educate the Tamil youth of the rich Tamil heritage and improve their knowledge of Tamil way of life. To collaborate in the organization of Tamil literary, cultural and educational conferences in other countries. To foster friendship and understanding among Tamil people, and between the Tamil community and other communities. To raise, solicit, and collect funds and donations either directly or in cooperation with other non-profit organizations for cultural, educational, and charitable purposes in the United States of America and abroad to serve both the Tamil community and the community at large. To encourage and recognize those who dedicate their efforts to the improvement and welfare of Tamil language and the State of Tamil Nadu in India. To assist people at times of natural disasters and other emergencies all around the world and especially in the State of Tamil Nadu in India. To act upon any other worthy cause directly concerning the welfare of Tamil people and the State of Tamil Nadu in India. To support environmental organizations that seek to conserve and protect the environment in the State of Tamil Nadu in India.
