About American Friends of the University of Warsaw

American Friends of the University of Warsaw, Inc. is a US 501 (c)(3) not- for-pro t organization. Our goal is to strengthen ties between the University of Warsaw and its American alumni, alumni currently living or working in the United States, and all American friends related to UW. Through fueling our minds, creating a community, and being proud of our Alma Mater, we hope to build a one of a kind institution that will have an impact for future generations, for an image of the University and its important position on the international scene. AFUW aims to spread the word about the importance of the University of Warsaw, create interaction and establish strong cooperation between prestigious scien- ti c and educational institutions in both Poland and the United States. To Achieve Our Goals, We Want To Focus on: 1. Maintaining contacts with alumni and friends of the UW in the United States and building a strong network of committed professionals. There is nothing more important than an active, oriented and aware community. 2. Keeping in touch with our Alma Mater by support- ing special programs and projects of the University of Warsaw, especially through nancing educational programs to further the development and advance- ment of higher education, research and training in all branches of knowledge at the University of Warsaw. 3. Creating opportunities and organizing international exchange programs, educational platforms, academic visits between the University of Warsaw and other in- stitutions in the United States.
