About American Home Life International
Since 1991, AHLI has served over 12,000 international students seeking quality academic programs and cultural immersion in the USA. For 25 years the organization has designed programs that combine excellent high school education with an enriching experience living with an American host family. AHLI partners with more than 140 high schools, art institutes, community colleges and universities across 20 states to offer varied possibilities. AHLI students have achieved good academic success, with many gaining acceptance at universities and colleges ranked in the top 5% nationally. AHLI is also a leading provider of short-term programs tailored to the needs of different age groups, from middle school students to young adults. ESL summer camp, school immersion, thematic group itineraries and university English courses are just some of the programs AHLI offers along with amazing homestay experience as an integral part of the cultural immersion. Well respected for its stringent selection and screening of host families, AHLI is committed to delivering the highest quality of homestay experience. All its host families have a genuine interest in welcoming international students into their homes and sharing their American way of life. Each AHLI student is also assigned a coordinator to provide personal support and guidance throughout his/her stay. Through meaningful experiential learning in a safe and caring homestay environment, AHLI students gain new perspectives and develop skills to be competent 21st century global citizens.
