About American Marketing Association - University of Florida Chapter
Welcome to the University of Florida AMA Chapter. The University of Florida’s American Marketing Association has become a renowned student organization on UF’s campus. Through exceptional speakers who provide our members with invaluable personal and professional advice, to service events that instill the values of helping the less fortunate, AMA prides itself on the strategic and detailed growth of its members. Through speakers, professional workshops and career guidance, AMA members are given insights that provide them with clear-cut advantages in finding jobs and internships in their respective fields. AMA works hard to give back to the community, from feeding the homeless to playing soccer with special needs children, the importance of volunteer work is never understated within the chapter. It is imperative that AMA aids in molding its members into scholastic, philanthropic, and determined individuals who strive to better themselves and others. Throughout the years, our speakers have ranged from successful entrepreneurs, Fortune 500 company representatives, to our own University of Florida alumni. As a chapter we try to expose our members to marketing strategies and information that will aid in career readiness. We also look to pull marketing information from different business avenues as we work to aid members in applying different business tactics and fields to the world of marketing. On a weekly basis AMA sends out emails and Facebook events as reminders to current members and invitations to new members. Every meeting our executive board walks around the room and engages with members, making first time members feel comfortable and enjoying conversation with older members. Above all, our chapter understands the importance of a comfortable and inviting environment that allows every member to learn, socialize, and grow.
