Ameen is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to serving the interests of the Michigan Muslim community. Our mission is to empower, advocate, and support Muslim Americans by promoting civic engagement, advocacy and community development, in alignment with the values and principles of Islam. At AMEEN, we stand out by deeply rooting our activities and initiatives in the values of our faith. Our approach is unique as we adhere to the practice of Mashura (consultation), seeking guidance and advice from our religious leaders and community members. This process ensures that our decisions and actions reflect the collective wisdom and values of our community. Our Work: Advocacy and Policy: Engaging with policymakers and government officials to advocate for the rights and interests of Muslim Americans. Civic Engagement: Encouraging and facilitating greater participation of Muslims in the political process through voter registration drives, educational workshops, and community events. Community Support: Providing resources and support to address the social, economic, and educational needs of the Michigan Muslim community. Interfaith Initiatives: Building bridges with other faith communities to promote mutual understanding, respect, and collaboration.
