American Pharmacies (APRx) is a for-profit, member-owned buying cooperative established in 2002 to protect the interests of independent community pharmacies. In every endeavor, APRx strives to be the leading organization in protecting the economic, political and legal interests of independent pharmacy. Our mission is to protect and advance the growth of independent community pharmacies by leveraging collective buying power, advocating beneficial legislation, promoting common-sense regulation and maximizing the return on investment to stockholder members. We do this by: - Using our collective purchasing power to obtain the best wholesaler agreements; - Assertively shaping the outcome of regulatory, legislative and legal issues vital to the success of independent pharmacy; and - Increasing member profitability through dividends, rebates, vendor discounts and new revenue channels.
