American Rag Compagnie is a mainstay of California culture. Founder, Mark Werts, has been recognized as one of the most innovative and trendsetting retailers in the United States. Mr. Werts and his buying team have traveled the world in pursuit of unique and exclusive merchandise to fill the American Rag stores. American Rag Compagnie first opened its doors in San Francisco in 1984, followed in 1985 by the opening of the Los Angeles store.
