About American Skin Food Group
American Skin is a nation leading manufacturer and supplier of pork rinds to the snack food industry. As a company we have been producing Pork Skins, Pork Cracklings and other pork products for over 20 years. Our new facility located in the beautiful scenic city of Burgaw, NC is equipped to handle capacity for big buyers as well as orders for medium to small buyers. We maintain long term relationships both domestically as well as internationally. The facility is USDA inspected with office on site. American skin was birthed out of a meat packing company by Wesley Blake Sr. and Anthony Blake in the 1930′s formerly known as Wanet’s Sausage. In 1981 through the vision of Neil Blake, pork rinds became the main focus of American Skin. In 1998 Wes Blake III and Les Edwards purchased the business along with Grandad’s Real Bacon Rinds in Atlanta Ga. and moved both businesses to Burgaw, NC. This heritage of quality products and southern service has made American Skin a Nation Leading Manufacturer of pork rinds and Cracklings in the Meat Snack Industry.
