About American South Asian Network (ASAN)

American South Asian Network (ASAN) is the fastest-growing community of young South Asians. We have hosted over 70 in-person events across the U.S. in less than 12 months, spanning New York, New Jersey, Michigan, Texas, San Francisco/Bay Area, and Southern California, reaching more than 7,000 people. We hosted the first-ever South Asian Business Expo in partnership with the Small Business Administration (SBA), Department of Labor, Department of Insurance, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and other key organizations. One of our flagship initiatives is SANGAM, a university partnership program designed to support the 500,000+ South Asian students in the U.S. Most of these students are international and face challenges with acculturation, mentoring, and finding opportunities for internships, jobs, and visas. South Asian Spotlight is the only platform dedicated to celebrating South Asian success stories in the U.S. Since September 2024, we have published over 50 articles highlighting inspiring journeys and achievements. Volunteer Excellence Awards celebrate and recognize South Asian changemakers in the U.S. This first-of-its-kind award provides unrestricted funding to winning nonprofits. At ASAN, we honor the immense contributions that South Asians from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka make to America’s cultural fabric, economy, and innovation. We support and spotlight South Asian entrepreneurs, creators, students, professionals, and changemakers through impactful programs, thought leadership, mentorship, and strategic partnerships. ASAN is where our power, our pride, and our next generation take center stage. The South Asian community has arrived, and The INDUStry Show is our loudspeaker. 🎙
