About Amicus Place
AMICUS Community Integration and Family Support programs and services provide care for individuals who need assistance with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (i.e. light house duties, meal preparation, errands, medication administration, management, and monitoring, doctors’ appointments) and Activities of Daily Living (i.e. ambulation, bathing, incontinence, dressing, feeding, and transfers) due to an intellectual, developmental or cognitive disability as each individual we serve is unique. Our friendly approach is based on person-centered principles that every individual receiving services has an active role in creating their service plans. AMICUS team up with the Bureau of Developmental Disabilities Services, case managers, families or guardians, behavioral clinicians, psychiatrists, and direct support professionals to develop a plan that allows individuals we serve to gain their independence while living their dreams in their chosen communities.
