Amilu is a retailer of luxury handbags, their primary range of handbags are made of leather and are manufactured in Italy. Amilu was started in 2006 by founder Elisabeth Jones after years in the greeting card business she decided to seek out a new project, after a business trip to the US she came across a small selection of evening bags and remembered a recent conversation with friends complaining about the annoyances of their handbags, and how they just weren't up to the job – from the lacklustre aesthetic to the poor quality fabrics used to make them. From then on she made it her mission to build a collection of different and desirable handbags. Everyday handbags that are chic but also able to carry real women to and from the office, shops and even make the school run in style and complete confidence, and evening/occasion bags that are the envy at any party. Elisabeth believes that when a girl has a great bag on her arm she feels like she can take on the world and has all the tools to do so hanging on her shoulder, slung on her back or clutched in her hand. “She believed she could so she did” is thier byword.
