About Amrita-Seattle
We are a non-profit organization dedicated to providing basic education, nutrition, healthcare and clean water solutions to underprivileged communities in India and carry out food initiatives for homeless in US. The focus is towards reaching out to communities which do not get adequate support and attention through government agencies, larger non-profits or other programs. We identify partners who are local non-profits who have a proven track-record for working within their community. We work with them to identify potential projects. As they implement the projects, we monitor their progress. We fundraise in the US and India to support our ongoing projects. All of our staff and contributors volunteer their time and effort so that we minimize administrative overhead.
