About AMS Book Club at UBC
The AMS Book Club at UBC is a non-profit, student volunteer-run organization which aims to foster a love of reading among UBC students through events and book discussions across a diverse range of genres! Though our club only began in 2022, we have amassed a strong presence on campus with nearly 1000 members in our active group chat, and over 1900 followers on Instagram (instagram.com/ubc.bookclub/). We aim to build a community of book lovers and provide safe spaces for students to form connections with others of similar literary interests. Through our monthly group reading and discussions across diverse genres, students are given the opportunity to broaden their horizons, see things from new perspectives, and enrich their literary engagement skills in a non-academic setting.
